Phenome India: CSIR Health Cohort Knowledgebase
(PI-CHeCK)

With an increasing life-span of an average individual, India, along with global populations, is seeing an increased prevalence of cardio-metabolic disorders such as diabetes, obesity and fatty liver, among others. Given that such diseases are likely to impact the quality of life and healthy ageing of an individual, PI-CHeCK study is conceived to develop personalised risk prediction scores for such cardio-metabolic diseases, specific to the Indian population.

About PI-CHeCK Portal

PI-CHeCK Portal is a secure gateway for CSIR family; both serving and retired employees along with their spouses, to get enrolled in the Phenome India-CSIR Health Knowledgebase (PI-CHeCK) study. Portal enables Registration to the study, following which the participants need to fill a health questionnaire to enable slot booking for blood sample collection and organ scanning modalities.

Portal collects the multi-parametric de-identified data of the participants including, amongst others, medical history, lifestyle habits, dietary habits, anthropometric measurements such as Height, Body Composition, Skinfold Thickness, Grip Strength, Spirometry and Oscillometry for Lung Function Tests, Elastography for Liver, ECG, Skin Health Analysis, Blood Biochemistry and Molecular Assay based techniques such as Proteomics, Metabolomics, Genomics and Microbiome Studies.
